2.Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences

About

This institution was established by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission in 1967 under the name of Reactor School. Since then, the organization, headed by Munir Ahmad Khan, has received a lot of attention. In 1976, the name of the institute was changed from Reactor School to Center for Nuclear Study. In 1989, the institute launched a degree program.

The institute launched the Medicine, Doctoral Program, Engineering and Physical Sciences program. In 1990, the organization’s infrastructure was changed, which led to the launch of other programs.

In 1997, it was renamed the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In the same year, the institute was given the status of a public research university. 7.University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar

About

The University of Engineering and Technology mostly refer as UET-Peshawar. It began its journey in 1952 as a Constituent College. As a result of high achievements in the learning of Engineering Sciences, it promotes to UET Peshawar in 1980.

In 1952, UET Peshawar had only twenty students in first enrollment. But now, 10,000 students enroll in various disciplines. And, more than 2,000 students graduate every year.

UET Taxila was established in 1975 as an affiliated college of UET Lahore. It was found to meet the requirement of increase in enrollments of students in 1970. This college work in Sahiwal for three years during the start of its career.

10.National Textile University

About

The idea to establish a textile institute perceive in 1954. Later on, Punjab Government helps to furnish this idea with granting free-of-cost land of 62 acres. During the construction of this institute, UK Government provides a lot of help with its experts and construction material.

The former President of Pakistan, Muhammad Ayub Khan establish the foundation of this institute in 1959.

This institute starts its career as an affiliated college of UET Lahore. Previously it is known as “National College of Textile Engineering”. Because of its great achievements in the technical and managerial fields of Pakistan’s textile industry, this college refines as National Textile University in 2002.
